Charity Champions Farmingdale High School
Farmingdale Students Hold Exercise and Healthy Eating Program for AHRC Nassau
Altice Connects visited Farmingdale High School to present the AHRC Nassau with a $1,000 donation as part of the school’s participation in Charity Champions. The SMILE Club students developed a healthy eating and exercise program for members of Nassau’s AHRC and students in the Tech Honors Society built the materials needed for the program. A local CrossFit instructor donated her time to teach the 6 week exercise class that takes place after school in the Farmingdale High School Commons. Following the class, AHRC members were treated to a healthy meal donated by a local food establishment.
