Sedona Team Helps Fund New 9/11 Memorial

On Sept. 11, Suddenlink's Sedona, Ariz., office and other donors were recognized for their financial contributions to the Sedona Fire District's 9/11 Memorial, which was unveiled at a ceremony at the fire district's station on State Route 179. The fire district received one of the last remaining artifacts from the World Trade Center, a 5½-foot, 3,000-pound piece of steel girder believed to be from the 20th floor of one of the towers.

The ceremony capped a two-plus year community project to acquire and place the artifact in a prominent location in Sedona as a memorial to the 2,996 lives that were lost on 9/11/2001. An estimated 600 people attended the dedication ceremony, reported the Sedona Red Rock News.

Suddenlink is recognized for its donation on a permanent plaque placed at the memorial and on the memorial website.
