Altice USA’s Suddenlink, in partnership with the Humboldt County Office of Education, sponsored the Redwood Coast Environmental Fair (REEF) at College of the Redwoods in Eureka, CA. This unique event brought over 2,000 students, 84 teachers and 29 different schools together so kids could learn in a hands-on interactive environment about issues in our environment locally, nationally and globally. Classes included, “Cooking Up Compost,” “Duck!, It’s an Earthquake,” “Wonderful Wiggly Worms,” “Wild Life Olympics,” “ Dive into Your Imagination and Explore Our Ocean,” “The Air Fair,” and “Watt’s Up? An Exploration of Power and Energy,” to name just a few. 36 separate classes and topics in all were offered, with presenters ranging from local associations, State and Federal Government, professional and University teachers.
