In partnership with Altice USA, C-SPAN’s award-winning, customized bus made stops at Grambling State University in Grambling, LA, Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA and Benton High School in Benton, LA, as part of C-SPAN’s 2017 Historically Black Colleges and Universities tour. During each visit, students, professors and area residents were invited to step aboard the Bus to learn about the public affairs network’s programs and resources, including its in-depth coverage of the U.S. Congress, White House, federal courts and the political process. Now in its 24th year on the road, the C-SPAN Bus partners with local cable providers to visit schools and community events across the country, providing students with a unique opportunity to engage in American politics.
