Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest



Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest Winner Awarded Grand Prize at McMichael Middle School

Altice Connects visited McMichael Middle School in Nacogdoches, Texas to recognize two winners in the Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest. Cody Gill was the Suddenlink Middle School Grand Prize Winner and won a $1,500 scholarship for his essay written about Chef Aaron Sanchez. Natividad Lopez was a runner-up in the same category and received an iPad mini for her essay written about Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. The students were presented with their prizes in front of a school-wide assembly of over 700 students and were recognized by school adminstration, Altice USA and State Representative Travis Clardy's office.
