Wheeler Avenue School Celebrates Veteran’s Day

The Greenlight Vet Campaign shows visible support for all men and woman who have served. Recently, about 300 students from grades first thru third at Wheeler Avenue School in Valley Stream joined this campaign to honor veterans. They cut out and decorated two green paper light bulbs with pictures and words of "thanks" for veterans. They displayed one greenlight in the windows of their classrooms, while the other is for the children to display at home. Each and every day this light is a symbol of the student and their family’s gratitude and support for all veterans.
