Cardinal Spellman Supports Food Pantry for Charity Champions

Optimum Community visited Cardinal Spellman High School to recognize students for their participation in this year’s Charity Champions program. Students in the Service Society have decided to raise money for the Helping Hands Food Pantry at Immaculate Conception Church, a local charity that currently feeds more than 150 people per day. Teacher and advisor, Ms. Jackie Cullen, accepted the $1000 donation on behalf of the charity. The school also received $500 seed money to further their fundraising efforts. Following the check presentation, students packed up the goods collected during their month-long food drive to give to the charity.
