Metuchen High School Students Participate in Charity Champions to Raise Funds for Breaking the Chain Through Education

Metuchen High School is a 4-time Grand Prize winner in Optimum Community’s Charity Champions program, and the outstanding efforts seen in the past were also on display in this year’s fundraising and awareness activities for the charity, Breaking the Chain Through Education. Faculty and special guests gathered the school’s “Tricky Tray” fundraiser as Optimum Community awarded the charity with $1,000 donation on behalf of the students.

Breaking the Chain Through Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating child slavery in Ghana, Africa with the goal to continue to rescue children that have been trafficked and restore them to a life of dignity and education. In addition, in order to reduce the need for child labor, schools are built for children in remote and impoverished areas.
