C-SPAN’s Tour Bus Visited Huntington High School to Award Junior Charles Ehrman for Participating in Their StudentCam Competition
Optimum Community partnered with C-SPAN to recognize Huntington High School Junior, Charles Ehrman, as an honorable mention winner of C-SPAN’s annual StudentCam competition, which asked students to make a film about the issue that they wanted to see addressed during the 2016 presidential campaign. Superintendent James Polansky, Principal Brenden Cusack and 25 students and members of the school administration participated in the presentation, which included a viewing of Charles’ video submission titled “GMO -The Ascending Era.”
C-SPAN received 2,887 video submissions from almost 6,000 students in 45 states and Washington, DC. 150 student and 53 teacher prizes were awarded, among which was Charles’.
