Optimum Community and Cablevision Volunteers Pitch In

On April 18, Optimum Community and Scripps Networks, along with 45 Cablevision volunteers joined Race2Rebuild for a RUN, RIDE, REBUILD event in Long Beach where athletes and volunteers came together to help move the community’s Hurricane Sandy recovery forward. In addition to a series of community-wide projects, teams of volunteers worked on two houses with Rebuilding Together Long Island, completing sheet-rocking, painting, and gardening. City Council President Len Torres was on site at multiple locations, as was City Manager Jack Schnirman.
