Holiday Gift Program at Hempstead Boys & Girls Club

Optimum Community visited the Hempstead Boys and Girls Club to deliver holiday gifts to 25 deserving children as part of a Holiday Gift pilot program. HBG Club staff and Optimum Community personally shopped for and wrapped $2500 worth of holiday gifts for the children that were presented to them at this special holiday party. Village of Hempstead Mayor Wayne Hall and Village of Hempstead Trustee Luis Figueroa attended the event and briefly spoke to the children about the importance of making right decisions before wishing them happy holidays. Mayor Hall presented both Cablevision and HBG Club with certificates of recognition, and then with the help of a HBG Club staff member dressed as Santa Claus, each child was called up to receive their gifts. The students posed for photos, opened their gifts, and were then treated to a pizza party from the HBG Club.
