Hispanic Heritage Month Essay 2nd Place Winner Awarded Prize At Ossining High School

Ossining High School senior Claire Sukumar was announced as the 2nd place winner in Optimum Community and Olympusat’s 8th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest. Claire’s essay was chosen from more than 600 essays in the high school category. Students throughout the tristate area were invited to submit an essay of 500 words or less and to name a Latino, past or present, with whom they would choose to spend a day and explain why.

Claire’s mom was present for the prize presentation as were members of her school’s administration.
