Warwick Valley High School Named Charity Champions Grand Prize Winners

Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton joined Optimum Community in recognizing Warwick Valley High School as the Greater Hudson Valley Charity Champions Grand Prize Winners during a school Board of Education meeting. Student advisor Louise Hutchison was presented with $5,000 to be donated to Warwick Valley Empty Bowls 2015, an international grass roots effort to raise funds and awareness in the fight to end hunger. The students have been fundraising for this worthy cause throughout the school year. Supervisor Sweeton congratulated the students on their successful efforts, which included multiple fundraising events. Many of the events featured the sales of handmade pottery bowls made and donated by local potters.
