Students at King High School are Celebrated as Grand Prize Charity Champions Winners
As Charity Champions grand prize winner in Connecticut for the 2015-2016 school year, students at King High School attended a celebration to honor their achievements. Optimum Community was on hand to present a check for $5,000 to Andrew Stein, founder of Orphaned Starfish, the school’s chosen charity, on the students’ behalf. The students held several fundraisers throughout the school year, raising over $6,000.
The Orphaned Starfish Foundation is dedicated to working with orphans and disadvantaged children across the globe so that they may have the vocational and life skills necessary for adulthood and thus break the cycle of poverty and abuse.
