Convent of the Sacred Heart Students Present Their Student Lens Project With Congressman Jim Himes

Optimum Community hosted a Student Lens screening event at Sacred Heart Greenwich with Congressman Jim Himes. Student Lens, a short-form, student-produced video project which chronicles the daily activities of a public official, provided an opportunity for media students at Sacred Heart to combine media creation skills with a lesson in civics as they shadowed Congressman Himes.

Students had the opportunity to document the Congressman as he interacted with constituents at his “Coffee with your Congressman” stop at SoNo Harbor Café in Norwalk, CT on November 11th. Students had a second occasion to interact with the Congressman as they conducted an interview in the school’s media studio.
