With more and more cyberbullying cases leading to arrests and trials, students from one school district in Minnesota are learning more about cyberbullying and the legal system by participating in a mock trial program at the local courthouse. Sixth-graders were invited to act out the roles of court personnel, defendants, victim and witnesses as they highlight the dangers of cyberbullying for their classmates during an annual tour hosted by the Winona County District Court. In addition to learning more about the legal system, the students were able to imagine the consequences cyberbullying can have on all parties involved.
