Belleville H.S. Communications Program

Lights, camera, action! and the students at Belleville High School have perfected just that as they put on a special production honoring a fellow classmate for winning a national essay contest.  As part of the communications program, students gain experience using broadcast equipment with the potential of earning three college credits.  The studio is equipped with a control room, multiple cameras, audio board, video switcher and a green-screened studio set.

Boys & Girls Club Grand Reopening, Paterson

A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held at The Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic to honor one of its founding members and celebrate some impressive upgrades to the Paterson branch.  The Boys and Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic serves more than 1,300 kids a day through two clubhouses and eight school satellite locations.

Black History Essay Contest, Bayonne

Bianca Lumang, a 4th grade student at Bayonne's All Saints Catholic Academy, is a finalist in Optimum Community's Black History Month Essay Contest. For her outstanding achievement in writing about Sojourner Truth, Bianca has been awarded an iPad mini and praise from her school and New Jersey Assemblywoman Angela McKnight.
