SBPLI Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics Competition

Altice Connects was a proud sponsor of the FIRST Robotics 2017 Long Island Regional held at Hofstra University. After a six-week build season, 55 high school teams participated in this year’s challenge, FIRST STEAMWORKSSM. The game required teams to perform a variety of tasks including 15 seconds of autonomous programming. Teams were paired together in alliances of 3 to try and score more points than the opposing alliance. 45 Altice Employees volunteered at the event, serving roles such as robot inspector and resetting the field in between matches.
