Altice USA, Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe, and State Representative Jonathan Steinberg recognized culinary arts students at Staples High School in Westport, CT for their efforts to raise funds and awareness for the Gillespie Center, a non-denominational homeless shelter for men as well as a place where both men and women in Westport can have a warm meal. Students prepared and sold specialty food at the grand opening of the Westport Farmers Market to raise funds and awareness for the center and students have been providing the center with cooked meals on a monthly basis.
